Dystonia. o___o. I’ve done some googling on that. Reminded me of Stephen Hawking (but as it turns out, he has ALS, which, in turn, reminded me of Mitch Albom). xD

Summary:
Leo believes in folkloric creatures. He narrates his friend’s experience with a manananggal. He also recounts the Patterson-Gimlin account of a Bigfoot sighting.
Assessment:
The writing is easy to understand. It followed the basic format discussed in class. The topic is also quite interesting. I think the only problem with this article is the lack of one more anecdote to complete the requirement.

My friend is a neurologist who works on DYSTONIA, a rare type of hereditary disease. It turns ordinary people into monsters by time they’re 40. The brain loses control of the muscles that’s why they twist and grow out of proportion. So aswangs have real basis.

Summary:

Leo believes in the creatures of myth and lore. He tells the story of his friend who heard flapping wings outside a tent during the night. Leo also tells the story Of Patterson and Gimlin who claim to have documented Yeti. He ends his entry by saying that we live in a world of mystery and there are a lot of things we don’t know, but someday we will figure them out.

Assessment:

I can see that there was some effort put into writing the blog. It’s a fun read and I really had no problem understanding the write-up. The transitions are well thought of so the blog goes very smoothly. As for the content, I can say that the chosen pieces of information are relevant, however, a little inadequate. I seem to remember being required three anecdotes, but I can only see two.

Anyway, nice post all in all.. And I’m pretty sure those creatures exist.. Well, I exist and I’m a mermaid, what do you say to that?
